What is Christian Science?
Simply put, it is the Science of Christianity -- the practical application of Christian ideas, as found in the Bible, to daily life.
It is Christian because it is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus. It is Science because it is proved in healing and restoring lives.
Christian Science is available to any sincere seeker of truth.
History of Christian Science
in Adrian
Christian Science services have been held in Adrian since 1898. A group of Christian Scientists first met in the home of Eliza Howell, and later in several other locations. In 1921, an historic home at the corner of Dennis and Union Streets was purchased, then remodeled as the current church building.
Our Services
Sunday--
Our services focus on readings from The Bible, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Each Sunday the inspiring readings from these books provide a lesson that brings peace, joy and healing, without personal opinion.
Christian Scientists around the world study the same lesson during the week as a part of their daily prayer and Bible study.

February 12: Soul
February 19: Mind
February 26: Christ Jesus
Wednesday Testimony Meetings--
The same healing messages found in the Bible and Science and Health form the basis of our Wednesday Testimony Meetings. Each week the readings focus on a currest, inspiring topic. The meeting is then open for those attending to share how prayer has helped in their daily lives.
Free Talks
Experienced Christian Scientists travel the world giving free talks to help explain the practical healing that can be found in a deeper understanding of God's love.
You can check the Christian Science Sentinel for talks in your area. We will list them on our website when they are close to Adrian. Rides will be available for those in our area.
Reading Room
Our Reading Room, which is located in the church, provides a quiet place to pray and study. The Reading Room
is open each Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and after all church services.
You may also purchase Bibles, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, as well as all publications from the Christian Science Publishing Society.
It is open to the public after all church services. Please stop by and enjoy the many publications which contain articles and testimonies of healing through prayer.
